Introduction Expectations of Ophthalmology [Word]
This one week attachment will teach you to evaluate a patient with an ophthalmic disorder, and gain an understanding of principles underlying the management of some major ophthalmic conditions. Ophthalmology will be taught in the same Period as ENT and Renal. Students will attend 1 week in each subject. See Allocations [Excel] for precise dates of your attachment.
Ophthalmology will be assessed in the Finals examinations.
Dress code: You will be expected to look smart and presentable. Open necked shirts are fine, but please ensure that they are tucked in. Your badge should be worn so that it is visible and your name can be clearly read.

Please email Mr Naresh Joshi on the Friday before your placement to confirm that he is able to meet with you on Monday. If so, please arrange to meet at 8:30 am on the Monday, usually in the treatment centre, ground floor. Do not change into theatre kit. Otherwise report to the Eye Clinic at 9 am and ask for Mr Malik or the Registrar.
