Accommodation will be available on Sunday evening on request. Complete the accommodation form [Word]. The keys will be left with the site coordinator in the main hospital. Dial ‘0’ from one of the internal phones at the East/West entrance and ask the operator to bleep the coordinator who is available 24/7. Map of accommodation [pdf].

  • Accommodation must be booked as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Last minute requests may be difficult to honour.
  • There is an accommodation holding fee of £100. Students need to pay by credit/debit card before they pick up their keys. This will then be refunded upon return of the keys.
  • You must leave your keys with the accommodation manager on the last day of your placement as the accommodation office will invoice you direct for accrue days if keys are not returned on time.

Complete the Work Health Assessment Questionnaire [Word]  and return to Occupational Health, Wexham Park Hospital at least 2 weeks prior to your placement. The Immunisation clearance is also to be done in advance.
On your first day you must take a copy of your CRB clearance with you. You will also need to take ID with you – all of the following: passport, driving licence, confirmation of address and Imperial swipecard.

If you do not have CRB clearance from your medical school placement, Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust must apply on your behalf and until this clearance is received, you will not be authorised to handle patients, even under supervision.

CRB clearance may take upto 10 weeks so please ensure you have clearance before arriving for your placement.

On first day: Report to HR Operations in the Training Centre, Wexham Park Hospital – no later than 9 am on your first day.
You will be issued with an identity badge and any final authorisation / paperwork will be completed.
Accommodation: You must confirm that you need accommodation by emailing LQ-KWSWexham@lqgroup.org.uk or phoning 0844 406 9000 (extension 6379) at least three weeks in advance.
In case you arrive on the weekend before your attachment (or outside of working hours), keys will be left with Switchboard staff. You must show staff your Imperial swipecard in order to collect your keys.
