Introduction to Breath Sounds and Heart Sounds

• This collection of .wav files was created from the Audio CD produced by Professors Tony Seed and Mark Noble, NHLI, ICSM, CX campus ©1999. We will shortly provide .mp3 versions you can download onto your players.
• It is expected that Year 3 students will start to use these files from the start of the first 10-week attachment in September each year, and Year 2 students in their Autumn Term clinical attachment.
• Please note the recommendations for listening to these sounds given in the audio Introduction. Much of the detail in these sounds is subtle and to appreciate them fully you will need to listen in a quiet environment and/or have good headphones. Remember that you will normally hear these sounds through the stethoscope.
